Vilanculos Camping

The camp is situated on the beachfront in the town of Vilanculos, which is reachable by ordinary passenger car. No 4x4 is necessary.

Most campsites are under shady trees and all campsites are equipped with water taps.
Please note that the Town of Vilanculos always has problems with Electricy, So clients are advised to take own Generators.
The camp is fenced in and have 24-hour security guards in attendance. Only residents are allowed in the campsite.

Fishing is always good, fresh fish is available daily, at reasonable prices from the local fishermen. Seafood can also be enjoyed at the local restaurant and bar in the camp.
The main ablution block is equipped with hot water showers. Two more ablutions are available, built in the typical Mozambican style. The ablutions are all kept spotlessly clean by cleaners who are in constant attendance.

A beautiful sea view from your campsite is an added bonus. The calm, clear blue ocean presents a safe swimming area on your 'doorstep. There is normally a cool sea breeze blowing through the camp, which alleviates the heat to a large extent.

Enjoy this idyllic tropical jewel in the heart of Mozambique, just opposite the Bazaruto Islands.
There are various islands in the Bazaruto archipelto, namely Bangue, Margaruque, Bazaruto, Benguerra, Santa Carolina and Musoso.

It is most advisable, if you own a boat, to bring it along when visiting Vilanculos, as it will enhance your experience of your stay, and give you the freedom to roam these magnificent island at leisure.

Boat launching licenses must be obtained from the Harbor Captain. The general cost is about R250-00, for ten days.
An additional fee is payable for a fishing license.

The islands and surrounding area is a conservation area and a $10.00 fee is payable per person upon visiting. Please ensure that you obtain a valid receipt when handing monies to the Government officials. Each receipt is valid for a week.
