mansions each over one hundred years old with walls over a metre
thick and lofty high ceilings. All Ibo island lodge bedrooms are
individually designed and unique, with many opening onto private

For some of the best fishing in the world you need
to visit the Lazarus banks, lying off the Mozambique coast from
Pemba
We offer the new 42ft Africat boat with a 22ft beam that has the
range and abilities to take you to these fabulous fishing grounds
with no compromise on your comfort. The boat sleeps 6 passengers
in 3 air-conditioned double cabins and is fully catered.
It has powerful twin 315hp Janmar diesel engines and over 800 nautical
mile fuel range, meaning not only can you reach the remote Lazarus
banks but remain there to get in some fantastic fishing (all night
fishing is available). The boat is fully equipped with Shimano rods
and reels - TLD 25, Tiagra 30,50,80,and 130, out-riggers and down-riggers.
The skipper is Captain Andre Hannekom who has 17 years experience
in fishing this area and personally sailed the boat from Durban
to Pemba, on the way they caught a 450lb and a 320lb Marlin !

Getting To Pemba:
Flights to Pemba from Johannesburg:
Direct flights are currently available on Wednesdays, Fridays and
Sundays
Getting To the Quirimbas Islands:
There are daily shuttles from Pemba to the various islands by plane
and/or helicopter which will be arranged when you book. An overnight
stop in Pemba may be required depending on your flight times.
Getting To the Quirimbas National Park Mainland Lodges:
For lodges in the mainland Qurimbas National Park either a boat
transfer or road transfer will be arranged from Pemba by the lodge
when you make your reservation. |
