The Bazaruto Archipelago is situated in northern Mozambique offshore from Vilanculos. The main Bazaruto Islands in the archipelago include Magaruque Island, Benguerra Island, Santa Carolina Island ('Paradise Island') and Bazaruto Island.
Bazaruto Island is the largest and has two lodges on it: Bazaruto Island Lodge and Indigo bay Spa and lodge, while Benguerra Island has three lodges: Benguerra Island Lodge, Marlin Lodge and Azura Lodge. All these Mozambique Island lodges offer a great Indian ocean Island experience.

Bazaruto Accommodation

Situated in northern Mozambique offshore from Vilanculos, the two main islands in the Bazaruto Archipelago are Bazaruto Island and Benguerra Island. Bazaruto Island Lodges

There are currently four lodges on the islands of the Bazaruto - Bazaruto Lodge and Indigo Bay on Bazaruto Island and two recently re-furbished lodges Benguerra Lodge and Marlin Lodge on Benguerra Island. A new boutique lodge Azura opened in October 2007. All lodges have an activity centre offering diving and snorkelling within the Bazaruto National Park.

Also in the Bazaruto National Park and accessible by boat from Vilanculos is Dugong Lodge, this is on a peninsula and has no road access so also has an island feel.

Accessible only by boat and located inside the Bazaruto National Marine Reserve Dugong lodge is a tranquil remote lodge. Just a handful of chalets looking onto the beach, each romantic chalet has bathroom, fan, mosquito nets, beach path and balcony.
