Casa Rex Vilanculos Mozambique

Regulars at Casa Rex might speak of the homely, world class accommodation, with air conditioning, wireless internet access and the individual style of each of our family rooms and suites.

Our professional staff would outline the conveniences - laundry, airport shuttles, secure parking - then tell you about our elegant pool, the terrace overlooking the harbour and offshore islands, and our popular a la carte restaurant, with its fresh seafood and imported wines.

Casa Rex is a lovely island gateway offering travellers a lovely Mozambique hotel. Guests are hosted in rooms or suites, all of which are complemented with mouth watering cuisine and excellent service. Looking out from the lodge over the lush gardens you can take in the views of Vilankulo Bay and the magnificent Bazaruto Archipelago, a World Heritage Site.

The highlight of the rooms is its comfort, charm and individual style, making each unit unique. This is finished off with en-suite bathrooms, mosquito nets and service with a smile.

The main areas feature lounging and dining areas, keeping comfort and relaxation in mind. The deluxe swimming pool is the ideal respite on a hot day at this Mozambique hotel.

Overlooking the Bazaruto Archipelago, Casa Rex offers magnificent views of the islands & the turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean in Vilanculos. Reminiscent of a gracious era, with buildings encompassed in lush gardens, Casa Rex overlooks the southern-central section of Vilanculos Bay.

Accommodation is charmingly decorated in an individual style with an emphasis in the lounge and dining areas on custom crafted wood furniture and fittings.

Casa Rex - Dining
With a world class restaurant, Casa Rex offers a unique dinning experience. Sip sundowners on the terrace or refresh your self in the swimming pool overlooking the bay – the perfect way to end the day or begin one.

I stayed at Casa Rex for three nights in March and then I have difficulty to leave this amazing place as I already fall in love with them.
It's a nice place for a quiet break without any disturbance. The room, the services and the food all at excellent standard and quality. The staff are all very friendly and kind to offer any assistance you ask for. They treated me as a friend during my stay. We are all called each other with the name but not Mr. XX or Ms. YY. It's a warm family.
The only bad thing there was the chef will make you fat as the food they made was too delicious. I had my breakfast, lunch and dinner there all the time and just couldn't help to stop eating but finally ate double than usual during my stay.

It's a wonderful place that you should not miss!

When we arrived to Mozambique we were atonished by everything...the people is soooooo nice...they wave at you and salute you all the time. There is someone picking you up from the airport...so dont worry. People from the hotel are really nice, really nice...
The hotel is really cute it has a big reception that is anexe to the restaurant where you can have breakfast, lunch and dinner.
W e stayed on the top floor and the views are great...magnific I would say. You have a little terrace where you can rest or sun bathing, read...
Swimming pool area...and beach...if you go to this hotel to go to the beach...dont go...if you go to the swimming pool...go. Going to the beach in Mozambique is a great experience but the only problem is that they are so big that you can feel unsafe...but walking is fine...
The staff is one thing that has to be mentioned...because they are great...thank you for being so nice...all of you...thanks.

The Bazaruto archipelago is the draw of this place, and we do have some beautiful photographs of us out on the islands. Unfortunately, staying on the islands themselves is very expensive, so we tried to cut costs by staying on the mainland.
Casa Rex is a nice hotel - we had a cute room, with it's own balcony overlooking the sea. The breakfast is good too. The restaurant is on the terrace, and there is beautifully manicured lawn with a couple of swimming pools, on a cliff overlooking the beach.
We did some diving. This is a great place to chill out and relax
