New Mozambique Road Regulations introduced in 2009Spot fines may be enforced by traffic police if the driver cannot produce the required vehicle and driver documents or road safety equipment. The new decree In brief:The following regulations apply to all vehicles and drivers while in Mozambique. Red Warning Triangles: Also referred to as "Advanced Warning Triangles". Drivers are required to carry TWO reflective red warning triangles and to use them in the event of a breakdown. Although this is not a new requirement for 2009 the definition of compliant triangles has been changed, details of compliant triangles can be found here.... Reflective Vests: All vehicles must be equipped with a flourescent vest with reflective strips. These flourescent vests must be warn when repairign a vehicle on the road, at the scene of an accident or when loading/unloading fallen cargo.
