Day Trips and Activities in the Guinjata Bay Area

Ocean Safaris

Dolphins and whale sharks can be seen in the waters of this area all year round but whale sharks are most likely to be seen in the months of September to May. Humpback whales visit the shores in the winter months of May to October during their annual migration south.

Diving

There are a number of Dive Operators baed in the Inhambane area, many of which offer a range of courses for advanced divers, beginners and those who have never been diving before.

Snorkelling

There are some reefs in the area which form large tidal pools at low tide and these are particularly good for snorkelling from the shore. Many of the diving operators also provide snorkel trips, including trips to snorkel with Whale Sharks.

Angling & Fishing

There are a variety of different types of fishing charters available in the area, particularly from the Guinjata Bay area but also available from Barra and Tofo.
