Accommodation
Comprising 3 twin bedrooms with bathrooms en-suite, a fully
fitted kitchen and open planned dining area, the houses even have
the indulgence of a private swimming pool.
Vehicles
It is always easier to have 4 x 4 access but recent upgrade
of the roads have made the area more navigable. It is recommended
that drivers carry the following documentation: registration book,
drivers license, valid insurance from country of origin & a
temporary importation license for caravans and boats.
Flights
Situated some 500km south of Beira and 750km north of Maputo,
Vilankulo boasts an international airport with direct flights from
Johannesburg, Maputo and Nelspruit on a daily basis. Departure of
these flights allows easy connection for onward flights to Europe
and the US. A scheduled direct flight from Harare, flying twice
weekly has recently been introduced.

Language
Mozambique s official language is Portuguese, although English is
becoming widely spoken in the tourist areas.
Money
The local currency is the Metical, which is obtainable from local
banks and bureaux de change. US dollars, Euro & Rand are widely
accepted, as are most major credit cards at hotels, restaurants
and lodges.
Climate
The North of the country is a coastal zone, the climate being tropical
and humid. The rainy season is between October & April with
temperatures between 27 and 29 degrees, whilst the dry season falls
between Mayand September with temperatures between 18 and 20 degrees.
Health
It is highly advisable that a course of malaria prophylactics is
taken prior, during and after your visit. Sunscreen and a good hat
are also recommendable!
