The Chalets are fully equipped for Self catering:
- 8 sleeper - 3 bedrooms with two single beds in the lounge
- 4 sleeper - 1 bedroom with two single beds in the lounge
Each one has its own open plan lounge/kitchen/dining room, and a
patio.
All the basic amenities are supplied including a fridge, 3-plate
gas stove, cutlery, crockery, pots, pans, utensils, linen and mosquito
netting.
Clients must take own TOWELS AND BEACH TOWELS.
Electricity is provided 24 hour.
8 Sleeper Units:
Comfortable self-catering chalets, build in the local style, are
on the beach (about 50m walking distance to the water) with stunning
views over the Indian ocean. Fully equipped 8 sleeper chalets. All
the units has a large sea-facing veranda and all bedrooms have an
unblemished sea view.
Units have a dining area, fully equipped kitchen, 3 bedrooms, shower
with hot and cold water, 2 separate toilets, bed linen, mosquito
nets, freezer, fridge and electricity.
4 Sleeper Units:
Comfortable self-catering casitas, also build in the local style,
are on the beach with stunning views over the Indian ocean.
All the basic amenities are supplied including a fridge, 3-plate
gas stove, cutlery, crockery, pots, pans, utensils, linen and mosquito
netting.
Units have 1 bedroom, 2 beds in dining area, fully equipped kitchen,
bed linen, mosquito nets, freezer, fridge and electricity.
Please note that we don't supply: -bath and swimming towels

Activities
THE DHOW TRIP IN INHAMBANE
They have been sailing the East African Coast for centuries.
They has a single mast and a triangular lateen sail, usually made
of cotton.In Mozambique they are still handcrafted like
the first Arabic ones that come to this coast.
A dhow trip became one of the number oneitems on the "to do
list" of many travelers.
Trips depart from the jetty in town (Inhambane) to Maxixe where
you can have lunch at "One Stop" Restuarant and return
with the dhow back to Inhambane.
THE ESTUARY
It provides a range of goods and services to communities living
nearby and are important nursery areas for many fish, invertebrates
and bird species.
THE ESTUARY REEF
Very quiet waters for excellent snorkelling. See a variety of feef
fishes and other marine life.
SEA HORSE WALKING TRAIL
A Walk in the lagoon with an experience guide with the main aim
of finding seahorses.
CRAB BREEDING
An expedition taking you to the heart of crab living. See how they
live and also how we catch them.
STAR FISH WALKING TRAIL
This trail takes more or less 3 hours during low-tide and takes
you to the large colonies of star fishes. The walk is also combined
with a route to take you to the Pansy Shells. An experienced guide
also point out all maritime live.
PRAWN CATCHING
This happens only at night and you can be guided to witness how
they catching prawns. To be in the middle of the estuary at night
gives a
adrenalin filled experience.
JET-SKI
Jet-skiing is for many the best way to have water sports' fun when
on holiday. Those who love to make their own waves can head to White
Sands and enjoy the estuary... Swimmers are inside these areas,
so pilots please be on the look out. Wear your life vest at all
times. You need a launching license to operate your Jet-ski.
FISHING
There's nothing like the trill off deep sea fishing off the Mozambican
coast. For the experience of a lifetime, set out to some of the
world's richest deep sea fishing grounds. Depending on the season,
guest frequently encounter Sailfish, King Mackerel, Dorado, King
fish and a variety of Tuna. You also have the opportunity of spotting
other marine animals, such as sharks, whales and dolphins in their
natural habitat.
HORSE RIDING
A Guided horse ride on the beach is a once in a lifetime experience.
The romance of riding along the beach with the sea and sand and
wind in your face is a unforgettable experience.
QUAD RIDES
Please note we do not allow quad riding in the Lodge. Please leave
silently and return the same way. Quad Rides can be done at Barra
Lodge. Quad Biking through the coconut plantations open new vistas
and following the tracks and paths through these areas allows one
to experience the real Mozambique while riding through local villages
and into the heart of Mozambique. Quad bike is prohibited from the
beaches as we wish to preserve the rich and unspoilt marine life.
Directions:
From Johannesburg:
• Take the N4 - past Witbank, Mbombela(Nelspruit) and all
the way to the Komatipoort border.
• Once through the Ressano Garcia border post, follow the
main toll road to Maputo
• As you enter Maputo proceed through the toll gate and shortly
after take a left turn onto EN1 to Xai-Xai. This is the main coastal
road north.
• Pass Villages of Maracuene (28km), Manhica (75km), Macia
(143km) and Chissano to the town of Xai-Xai 204km North of Maputo,
this is a good place to re-fuel.
• Continue on the North Coastal Road passing smaller villages
and towns,including Chidenguele (262km), Quissico (392km) and Inharrime
(372km).
• From Inharrime continue for approximately 45km passing Cumbano
which has a large radio mast on the left side of the road to LINDELA
• Keep a look out for a sign board on your left saying LINDELA.
• Immediately after this sign the tar road forks, turn right.
• Inhambane is approximately 33km from this turn.
• Once in Inhambane drive to where you see the harbour quay
on your left.
• Turn right at Broad Road Ave. DA Independecia (it is possible
that there will be no road names up).
• Continue to the large semi-circle, turn right onto the road
running at the back of the circle.
• Continue with this road - it bears left as you leave the
town.
• Keep on this road, passing the airport turn-off on your
left. Continue with this road for 18km.
• As you come over a rise you will find Babalaza Restaurant
on your right.
• The tar road bears right and a sand road continues straight.

• Keep straight on the sand road and follow signs to Ocean View
