Morrungulo is situated in the Inhambane Tropics approximately 580 km's North of Maputo.

There are two stunning beach houses at Morrungulo Bay both of these are positioned on the primary beachfront dune approximately 20 meters above sea level with only the tropical Indian Ocean in front of you.

A quick skip down the dune path and in two minutes you are on a magnificent Morrungulo beach.

The six bedroom furnished and fully equipped houses are capable of sleeping eighteen persons and boast four sea facing double rooms all with sea views and with doors opening onto an extensive wrap around sea facing verandah.
There are two five sleeper rear bedrooms set up with two sets of bunk beds and a single bed in each room (great for kids).

There are three bathrooms, each with a shower, toilet and double vanity basins. The open plan central dining room and living area links into a fully equipped open plan kitchen equipped with with a gas stove, deep freezers, refrigerator coldrink fridge and a microwave oven.

The living areas also open up onto the expansive sea facing, covered wrap around verandah.
Enjoy the beautiful sea views, Relax during the balmy evenings and unwind while the romantic Morrungulo moon rises over the sea.

Things to do in and around the village of Morrungulo:

Morrungulo is a wonderful self-catering beach holiday destination.
Please remember that we do not have a Restaurant, Bar or Swimming pool on site. (There are a number of wonderful restaurants and bars in close proximity to Morrungulo Bay and we encourage you to visit these great facilities)

Scuba Galaxy - Located at Bonito Bay Lodge about 3.50 kms South of us.

Dive Morrungulo - located next door to us at Morrungulo Lodge.

· Explore this palm paradise in your 4x4 (no beach driving)
· Take a day trip to Inhambane - Explore the market, buy fresh fish and prawns - park at Stop Restaurant on the Maxixe side and take a dhow trip to Pansy Island (Mt 2500.00 for the dhow) or catch the ferry across the bay to Inhambane and explore one of the oldest trading towns in Mozambique.
· Explore Pomene -70kms - this takes about 2 hours to drive to Pomene Lodge from Morrungulo Bay (sand/gravel road) and a 4x4 or high clearance vehicle is recommended for the trip.

Visit the lodge, enjoy the fantastic restaurant location, fish in the estuary or while away the day in the infinity pool with a cocktail from the adjacent bar.
Pomene is well known as an excellent fishing area.Try the estuary and the point in front of the old abandoned Portuguese hotel.
