Lodge Facilities
at Kirkman's Kamp, South Africa
At Kirkmans Kamp the colonial atmosphere of gracious style and
luxury has been retained, and guests step back in time upon entering
the original homestead, which now houses Kirkmans Kamp sitting,
bar and dining areas.
The large sitting room, with a 1920’s ambience, leads through
double French doors onto rolling lawns that provide a velvety contrast
to the wild and tumbling bush surrounding Kirkmans Kamp. Breakfast
and lunch are served on shady verandas, and dinners are shared in
the dramatic boma or in romantic lanternlit bush settings.
Kirkmans Kamp has spectacular views of the unspoilt Sabi Sand wilderness
from the lodge sitteng areas and the rim flow swimming pool with
decking. You can also enjoy a massage or spa treatment between game
drives.

Undoubtedly the most prestigious game park in South Africa, the Sabi
Sand Game Reserve is renowned for having the best Big Five game viewing
in the country, if not the world. Located on the southwestern corner of
the Kruger National Park, there are no restricting fences, thus enabling
the animals to roam freely just as nature intended. The 65 000 hectare
Reserve offers a spectacular African safari experience.
Twice daily Big Five game-drives
Experienced CC Africa rangers and trackers will lead you on morning and
afternoon/evening game-drives in open 4x4 safari vehicles. The Sabi Sand
Game Reserve and Kruger National Park are of the finest Big Five (lion,
leopard, elephant, buffalo and rhino) game destinations in Africa and
you have an excellent chance of spotting the elusive leopard.
Interpretive bush walks
Explore the Sabi Sand Game Reserve on interpretive wilderness walks
led by experienced CC Africa rangers or expert Shangaan trackers,
and learn more about the area’s intriguing fauna and flora.
Guided bush walks bring you face-to-face with wild Africa at its
best. Regretfully, children 16 years and younger cannot participate
in bush walks.
