Ebony Beach is located on the coast of Vilanculos in Inhambane province. It is the gateway to the Bazaruto Archipelago, a group of five islands (in order of size: Bazaruto, Benguerra, Magaruque, Santa Carolina and Bangue) and Mozambique's only underwater national park where the waters surrounding the islands are home to more than 80 percent of all marine fish families of the Indo-Pacific.

Idyllically positioned on a pristine white beach, which lines the turquoise patterned waters of the warm Indian Ocean, the Ebony Beach Luxury Villa comfortably accommodates 8 guests.

A barefoot paradise, where the only requirement is total relaxation, set in an environment which had been uniquely preserved. A place where the only intruders are the birds, and the sounds of the waves lapping on the beach just 10 meters away.

The Vilanculos town can be found 5km inland from all the beach resorts and lodges - it is a vibrant commercial village offering a variety of basic supplies, fresh produce and vegetables at the local markets. Curios' & arts are sold everywhere - from stunning island paintings to well crafted quality wooden statues. The locals are more than willing to 'bargain' with you. Petrol, Diesel, banking and telephone facilities can be found here. There is cellular phone coverage for most networks in this area.

Accommodation
This spacious 4-bedroom, 8 Sleeper villa is constructed entirely with indigenous materials and handcrafted timber. It opens onto a private veranda with panoramic sea views and a private pool for those long hot summer days.

There are two king-size beds in the downstairs, en-suite bedrooms, and one double or two single beds in each of the two upstairs bedrooms. Each bed is draped in mosquito netting to complete the romantic African luxury feel in each bedroom.

Large shutter windows afford magnificent views of the ocean and allow the sea breeze to waft through the entire villa. Natural rock walls, makuti thatch, and colonial ceiling fans keep you cool by day. The furniture is crafted from indigenous teak and mahogany by local carpenters in a contemporary island style.

If you are in town and your taste buds are craving delicious Portuguese style chicken peri-peri or seafood (especially the renowned large Mozambican prawns) you will find many quaint local restaurants to dine at. There are two restaurants within walking distance from the villa, most of the restaurants and bars at the different lodges and resorts allow "walk-ins", affording you the opportunity to experience their own exquisite cuisine and hospitality.

There are a variety of activities, such as dolphin and whale watching, canoeing, sundowner cruises, scuba diving, Padi open water courses, snorkel adventures, fishing trips, boat charters, land and water sports.
