Our rooms are small, but full of personality! We have 8 guest rooms set mainly under thatch, around a pool in tropical gardens. We have room formats to suit most needs singles, couples and families. All rooms are en suite with air con, mini bar and tea/coffee making facilities.
Rooms 1, 2 and 5 are double rooms under thatch with en-suite shower rooms and covered stoep areas. Mosquito net over bed. These can be booked as singles too.
Room 3 is a triple room with a queen and single bed with mosquito nets and a shower over bath, this room is wheelchair friendly with ramps, accessible bathroom and grab rails.
Room 4 is a popular budget open plan upstairs family room sleeping up to six people in five separate beds in the same room-a queen bed, two singles and full sized bunk beds with an en-suite shower room. Great for the larger family or friends sharing on a tighter budget. No mosquito nets over beds due to shape of room. Not recommended for 6 adults sharing.
Room 6 is a twin or single room with two single beds, with pool outlook and shower over bath, mosquito nets over beds.
Room 7 has a beautiful queen four-poster bed and indulgent slipper bath in the en-suite bathroom. For those with friends or family in tow there is an adjacent small bunk bed room to sleep two. Mosquito net over queen bed.
Room 8 also enjoys a queen, four-poster bed and a single bed with a luxurious slipper bath and separate shower. Mosquito net over both beds.
NB. Rooms 7 and 8 have an adjoining door so can be taken as one unit.
Most of our rooms are laid out around the sparkling pool that is Trees Too's
centre-piece. Our tropical gardens are dominated by more than twenty beautiful
royal palm trees, which rustle coolingly in the summer breezes. Apart from
DSTV in the bedrooms there is a comfortable, communal television lounge with
DSTV for those big audience events, along with magazines and a small library
in several languages and a variety of games
Guests should note that we employ a strict no-smoking policy in all of our
rooms.
Bar and Restaurant
Trees Too is fully licensed and as our honesty bar lacks any form
of door, it is open whenever you want to use it. We have no self catering
facilities at all, so enjoy our bar and restaurant!
Dinner - served 17:30-20:00
We provide evening meals from a varied menu and produce an eclectic range
of cuisine from Springbok medallion and Kudu Stew to Fillet Steak, Lamb Curry
and Bobotie. As former vegetarians we are adept at catering for non-meat-eaters
– but who wants to be bottom of the food chain in Africa? Putting you
very much at the top of the food chain are our well regarded braai (barbecues
to you non SAFs). We hold these for larger numbers of guests or just to add
a little theatre to the evening. Let us know in advance if you have any special
dietary requierements so we can make a plan.
Security is not a big issue in the quiet village of Komatipoort, but our spacious car park is secured by an automated gate and has ample room for guest cars and the occasional 'normal' sized trailer/small boat. The perimeter of Trees Too is protected by a state of the art security system, which is activated overnight, meaning no entry/exit over night (22:00-05:00), ensuring a peaceful and secure night's sleep for all.
