Accommodation at Praia De Peixe Bilene

We offer a variety of accommodation types. Whether you camp, or stay in tented chalets or chalets, our friendly, diligent Mozambique staff will always ensure that all your needs are attended to during your stay. We are proud of the fact that Praia de Peixe has a reputation of zero malaria incidents and we strive to maintain this reputation through daily pesticide control. The ablution facilities are of the highest standard and hot and cold water are in abundance. 220v Electricity is available through-out the resort.

Chalets

We have 5 Fully Equipped Chalets. All with Hot & Cold water showers and Electricity.

One 2 Sleeper, One 4 Sleeper, One 5 Sleeper and Three 6 Sleepers

Camping

We have 18 Caravan and Tent spots. All campsites are well shaded and are close to the beach. Each campsite has a braai facility, a water-point and electrical plug point. Electricty available at an extra fee. Ablutions with Hot & Cold water are provided.

Activities and Facilities at Praia De Peixe

The sky is the limit for the adventurist. Water-sport activities such as snorkelling at Inhaca, Santa Maria and the Portuguese Islands can be arranged, quad bikes are welcome at Praia de Peixe and there are various dunes and trails for both quads and 4x4s in close proximity to the resort. Macaneta Beach can only be reached with a four-wheel drive vehicle.

Praia de Peixe boasts a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere with a Restaurant/Bar that serves quality, great- tasting food and drinks. Day visitors are also welcome to experience our hospitality and enjoy our facilities. Our restaurant serve, breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner & snacks throughout the day. Our cooks are well known for the tasty meals they prepare.

To add to the activities at Praia de Peixe, we now boast a fully fledged Salon. Envy Hair was established in Gauteng in 2009 and have now branched out to Macaneta Island. To fit in with the Island and Lodge ambiance, Envy Hair will operate under the name of Inveja Cabelo no Mar. Translated this means Envy Hair by the sea.

Spend a relaxing time at the salon where Mark will be doing colours, cuts, manicures and pedicures while the rest of the your crowd is relaxing and enjoying other activities at the lodge.

Getting to Praia De Peixe

After crossing the five minute ferry ride across the Nkomati River to Macaneta, you will need a 4X4 or 2X4 with diff-lock to get to Praia de Peixe. For easy riding, adjust the tyre pressure to 0.8 bar. If you have travelled to Mozambique in a sedan, your vehicle can be left at the ferry for an additional fee. This needs to be arranged with security at the ferry and is not the responsability of Praia de Peixe. Praia de Peixe will collect you at the ferry at a cost
