The development Ponta Saloon & Beach Resort comprises of logwood cabins and luxury, permanent Safari tents which are hired out. Our main complex is still under construction and will be finished by early 2014. There will be a reception office, a private bar and swimming pool.

Ponta Saloon & Beach Resort, is situated in the south of Mozambique, on the dune in the tranquil village of Ponta do Ouro and approximately 40 minutes drive from the Kosi Bay border post, less than 400 km north of Durban and 700 km from Johannesburg. Tar roads lead up to the South African border post at Kosi Bay, but from there, you will need a 4 x 4 vehicle to the resort. Safe parking is available at the border at a reasonable cost. Transfers from the border to Ponta Saloon & Beach Resort and back again to the border for visitors without 4x4 vehicles can be arranged.

Ponta Saloon & Beach Resort is the ultimate diving and holiday destination for people looking for comfortable accommodation in truly unspoilt, remote and tranquil surroundings. Different types of accommodation and special packages are available.

The 4 sleeper cabins have 1 bedroom with a double bed and 1 bunk bed in the lounge/open area. It has a fully equipped kitchenette with Fridge/freezer. All bed linen are provided and the cabins are serviced daily.
The Safari tents are equipped with comfortable beds and all linen provided. They are also serviced daily. There is a communal Kitchen and Braai area that will meet all your needs and requirements and will be serviced and clean throughout your stay. There are eight communal bathrooms each comprising a shower, basin and toilet, ideal for families and children. We extend a warm welcome to all families, friends and other group bookings, such as fishing or diving groups.
