Chuiba Palms Beach Villas is a great choice for families, small groups and those who want to enjoy the best of Mozambique's coastline, while remaining within easy reach of the facilities of Pemba. Chuiba Palms Beach Villas is owned and managed by an expatriate husband and wife team, Paulo and Rebecca, who have been based in Pemba since 2001. All our staff are either from Chuiba Village or from surrounding areas, and all building staff were also local, helping to build local capacity and experience.

Chuiba Palms Beach Villas is committed to protecting the local environment and contributing positively to local community development. The use of sustain ably-sourced building materials, minimal site disturbance, and careful water management, all contribute to this aim. As Chuiba is a turtle nesting beach, outside lighting is kept low, and any nests are actively protected.

We have a good relationship with Chuiba Village and are working towards implementing several initiatives such as a school feeding programme for young children, and a no-fishing area in front of the lodge to help re-build depleted fish stocks.

Accommodation at Chuiba Palms Beach Villas Pemba

Villas

Our four beach-front villas were designed by a local architect to combine traditional building materials - stone, thatch and timber - with a spacious and practical lay-out to assure your comfort and enjoyment, and, of course, the best view of the Ocean.

Three of the villas have 2 bedrooms, each with their own bathroom, and an open-plan living, dining and kitchen area. A sofa bed extends the accommodation to a maximum of 6. The fourth villa has an extra bedroom and can sleep up to 7. All the villas are fully equipped for self-catering, although we do offer a breakfast service.

Chuiba Palms Beach Villas is an excellent choice for families, with a beautiful calm beach that offers safe swimming, and many small pools to explore at low tide. Our swimming pool is a firm favourite with kids, and includes a baby pool for our smallest guests. Our accommodation was designed with families in mind, and baby equipment is available on advance request.

Activities

A number of activities can be organised with other local operators, including snorkelling, dolphin safaris and scuba diving, sport fishing, city tours, day trips and more. Board and beach games are also available at reception.

Chuiba Palms Beach Villas and Chuiba village are found on the Southern outskirts of Pemba town, which is situated on the vast and beautiful Pemba Bay and is the capital of Cabo Delgado Province in the far North of Mozambique.
