Where is Moya Eco Lodge?

How to get to Moya Eco Lodge

FROM MAPUTO

Moya Eco Lodge is situated at Ponta Techobanine, which is located 110 km south of
Maputo. You should calculate around 3 to 4 hours if you don´t know the road. The closest
village is Mamoli.

Please be advised that you need a 4x4 vehicle to drive from Maputo to Moya Eco Lodge.

Take the ferry boat from Avenida 10 de Novembro to Catembe.
From Catembe, follow the main road (EN1) for around 95km passing a crossMroad to Bella
Vista, the village called Salamanga and the Maputo Special Reserve. There is no tar road
from Bella Vista to Zitundo. Do not enter the Maputo Special Reserve but follow the road.
After 95km you will arrive in a little village called Zitundo There you have three options: the
road to the right will bring you to the boarder crossing (Kosi Bay), the road in the middle will
lead you to Ponta do Ouro, and the road to the LEFT will bring you to Ponta Malongane and
Mamoli. Note that this is a tar road full of potholes so drive carefully!
Follow the tar road to the left for 11km until you reach Mamoli. You will know that you are
in Mamoli if you see little bars and restaurants by the side of the road.

you up at the Mamoli main road.

FROM KOSI BAY (SOUTH AFRICA)
Ponta Techobanine, the bay at which Moya Eco Lodge is located, is located around 35 km
north of Kosi Bay Boarder Crossing. You should calculate around 1 ½ hours if you don´t know
the road very well. The closest village is Mamoli.

Please be advised that you need a 4x4 vehicle to drive from Maputo to Moya Eco Lodge.

From the boarder crossing, follow the road to Ponta do Ouro, which is located around 7km
to the northMeast of the boarder.

In Ponta do Ouro, pass the market up to the hill, then turn left. You will pass by the health
post, and a series of residences. Stay on the road until you reach the next village, Ponta
Malongane (8km after ponta do Ouro).

Pass through Ponta Malongane, and drive on for another 15km until you reach a TMjunction
with a tar road. There are several small restaurants and bars at this road. This is the Mamoli
Village.
