Offering bungalows, villas, garden rooms and campsites, the Montebelo Gorongosa Lodge & Safari can house up to 100 guests, adapting to the expectations of all visitors who can choose the type of accommodation they prefer.

The lodge offers 18 standard bungalows and 12 premium bungalows, 2 T2-type villas and a T2-type Premium Villa, all with mosquito nets, private bathroom, air conditioning and safe, located in a quiet and friendly area.

Camping
The camping area has all the necessary conditions to ensure a comfortable stay, including a bathroom and shower area with hot water, grill and a covered communal area.

Tours and Safari
Although the Montebelo Gorongosa Lodge & Safari is open from April to December, the best time to go on safari is the dry season, between April and November. The rainy season in Mozambique is from December to March.
Among its main attractions there is the Lion’s house, the viewpoint of the hippos and the wildlife sanctuary, as well as trips to the limestone cliffs of Chiringoma, Lake Urema and the waterfalls of River Murombozi, in the middle of the Gorongosa Mountain, among others.

Meetings and Events
Integrated in the Gorongosa National Park, the Lodge offers multi-purpose meeting rooms for up to 140 people.
The meeting rooms are soundproofed, with air conditioning and natural daylight, and have audio-visual equipment and internet access to provide a quiet and reserved work environment.

Gorongosa Nation Park Info

Considered one of the best natural parks in the world, sought after by travelers from all continents for moments of adventure and leisure in an environmental framework of great exuberance, "Gorongosa" suffered the tragic effects of the 1940 floods, which affected infrastructure, flora and fauna, forcing its closure. Eleven years later, under new management, was initiated to rebuild a new structure.

In 2010, according to statistics from the Ministry of Tourism of Mozambique, the flow of registered visitors is transforming the Gorongosa National Park in the first ecotourism destinations in Africa.

Among the main attractions of the park include the home of lions, the viewpoint of hippos, the limestone cliffs of Chiringoma, the lake Urema floodplains located to the northwest, cascades of Murombozi River in the Serra da Gorongosa, excursions to community wine and the setting of the sun in Bué Maria.
