Welcome to Madeirarte
Situated next to the EN1 (the North – South road through Mozambique) makes Madeirarte accommodation the most convenient overnight location. We are 12km before Xai-Xai – on the SA border side. Watch out for the big tree and sign that reads “Madeirarte” and “Madeirarte accommodation”
We use to be known as honey pot, but with a few improvements made, this bee is flying higher and is now known as Madeirarte Accommodation. Our spacious green garden offers a tranquil resting place to help rejuvenate body and mind so that you continue on a safe and pleasant journey to your favourite holiday destination.
Accommodation options vary from camping to basic 2 sleeper units and houses with air-conditioning sleeping up to 9 people.
Camping: Spacious camp sites with power points,
nearby ablution block and braai facilities.
Basic 2 Sleeper: Basic room with fan, a double bed covered
by a mosquito net and a small veranda.
En-suite 2 Sleeper: Air-conditioned room, double bed under
mosquito net, coffee making facility and on-suite bathroom (shower, basin,
toilet)
4 Sleeper: Open plan, air-conditioned room with 4 single
beds, separate dressing room, coffee making facility and 2 x on-suite bathrooms
(shower, basin, toilet)
OR
Open plan room with fan, 2 bunker beds, basic kitchenette and on-suite bathroom (shower, basin, toilet).
8 Sleeper house (some of which can sleep 9th person): Air-conditioned bedrooms (sleeping 1 x double and 2 x 3 singles), basic kitchen with dinning table and lounger, outside braai on patio and a separate shower, toilet and basin to allow different users at the same time.
Facilities
Enjoy breakfast or dinner at our restaurant : 7am -9am and 4 pm until 9pm– longer hours during holidays or when arranged.We also offer breakfast on the go for those early birds eager to get to their end destination.
The bar is open from 7am till 9am and again from 2pm till closing time. A cold beer or refreshing cool drink will be ready when you need it.
A sparkling blue swimming pool with deck to lounge, add to your relaxation while the jungle gym and open playground will keep the kids entertained. We have a spacious green garden through which you are welcome to stroll, however do remember your Mozi spray.
Around the clock security patrols the premises and is here to keep a watchful eye while you enjoy your much needed sleep. Basic items like Mosquito spray, doom, toothbrushes, asprin and airtime for Mozambique network providers are sold at reception.
Reception is open through out the day, though check in is from 4 pm – you are welcome to arrive earlier and enjoy the garden or something to drink at the bar (open from 2pm). Perhaps dive into the pool and relax – you are on holiday! Check out is before and until 10am. Early departures can leave their key in the allocated drop-box in front of reception.

A 50% deposit is required to hold your reservation with balance payable 10 weeks before your travel date. Bank transfer, credit and debit cards accepted for pre-bookings. Paypal available on request.
