Camping

The camping area has at your disposal all the necessary conditions to guarantee you a comfortable stay, including bathrooms area, hot water showers, grill and an outdoor covered lounge area.

The Girassol Gorongosa Lodge & Safari has at your disposal a bar and restaurant, with both international and traditional Mozambican cuisine menu. It opens for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfast is included in the accommodation cost, except for camping and caravanning.

The restaurant menu includes different organic vegetables, which will assure you fresher and healthier meals, as well as it promotes the economic development of the local communities.
Integrated in Gorongosa National Park, the Lodge offers versatile meeting rooms with capacity up to 140 people.

The meeting rooms are soundproofed, air conditioned and with natural light, feature with audiovisual equipment and Internet access that provide a working environment quiet and reserved.

Although the Girassol Gorongosa Lodge & Safari is opened from April to December, the best safari season is the dry season, between April and November. The rainy season in Mozambique is from December to March.

Among its main attractions includes the home of lions, hippos and the viewpoint of a wildlife sanctuary as well as tours of the Chiringoma limestone cliffs, Urema Lake and cascades from Murombozi River, in the Serra da Gorongosa, among other.
