Welcome to Villa Dias and may your stay be relaxing and enjoyable.
Villa Dias is situated in the coastal town of Bilene. This Mozambique self-catering guest house has a beautiful tropical private garden with rock pool – ideal for relaxing and refreshing after a day spent at the beach which is a mere 300m from the lodge.

The large lapa entertainment area includes all the kitchen equipment for preparing your 'al fresco' meals.

Accommodation at Villa Dias, Bilene

Thirteen guests can be accommodated at Villa Dias in the main house and 2 smaller suites.

Suite 1
Accommodates a couple consisting of main en-suite with air conditioning and mosquito nets.

Suite 2
Accommodates a couple main en-suite with air conditioning and one single bedroom consisting of mosquito net and a fan.

Main lodge:
The main house which sleeps 8 guests comprises 4 bedrooms with air-conditioning and 2 bathrooms. The two bathrooms are equipped to cater for a family and a lounge area with TV and DVD. The kitchen area is located in the entertainment area at the pool.

From your units you have access to the pool, tropical gardens, lapa / snooker table and bar area. Although the bar is equipped it is not stocked. (Bring your own booze if you drink beer its cheap here, hard liquor is cheaper in SA.)

On your arrival, there will be complimentary ice in the deep freezer. You can purchase more ice at both Petrol stations in Bilene.

There will also be complimentary Fire wood and Charcoal for a bon fire and Braai. Charcoal can be purchased at the market, and wood can be purchased outside of Bilene on the Road back to Macia.

Villa Dias is fully equipped for self Catering. There is also an espresso / cappuccino coffee machine. (please bring your own coffee and filter bags) .

Villa Dias is ideally suited for those seeking a laid-back and affordable holiday in Bilene, within reasonable driving time from South Africa – a place where special moments with friends and family can be remembered forever.

Guests are requested not to feed the resident dogs.

There are 2 banks in Bilene, that accept Visa Electron Cards (withdrawals in Meticais) – guests may also draw Meticais from their bank accounts. The first bank is situated as you enter Bilene. The second bank is on the main road after the market. There is also an ATM at the Petromoc Petrol Station.

Alcohol is cheaper if purchased in the market. There is a bakery at the market.

Quad bikes may not be driven after 18h00. Any quads on the roads after this time will be confiscated by the police and released the following morning. Riding on the beach is not permitted.

Please beware of the Coconuts. You may eat them, but if they fall on your head, you will be injured.

Mozambique is a Malaria area. Please take all precautions against this little creature. Always take a shower after your days’ activities. Use your preventative lotions/sprays, as well as burn coils and citronella candles. While we do have aircons and mosquito nets in the bedrooms and mosquito netted frames on the windows, we can not guarantee your safety outside.

We are living in AFRICA. Please keep your eyes to the ground, and watch out for snakes. Especially for children. While we do not have much of a problem with them, we do not have a toll road to keep them out.

There are a number of Restaurants around Bilene that you may visit. The Lagoon front Restaurants are Aquarius, Carioca and Praia do Sol. Bilas, Petrol station next to Petromoc serves very good burgers and pizzas. Capital diagonally across from the Hardware store serves good food. Chin Chin on the main road next to the market serves good calamari and chicken.

Fishing Excursions:
Experience a full day of deep sea fishing. Min 2 people, Max 4 people. Fishing Equipment, Fuel, drinks and snacks supplied.

Skipper and assistant. Just sit back and catch fish. R4000.00. And Mts 400.00 for a fishing license (valid for 1 month). You get to keep your prize catch of the day, and half the load of the fish caught.

Boat Excursions:
Want to enjoy the day on the lagoon, or visit the channel mouth? Don’t have your own boat? Then you can hire our skippered Classic 210 for the day at approx. R 1500.00 for 3 hours. ( no evening rides)

Pack a cooler box, and snacks. A couple of umbrellas, and you are A for AWAY!
