Kite Sailing (The wind has proofed itself to pick up late afternoons on the length of the lagoon over 30 km)

Walk through the colonial part of town and continue to the informal markets in town, continue along the river and enjoy fishermen coming in with the days catch and the warm happy people of Bilene. The light pollution is low and star gazing is a must.

We have a breeding ground of sea turtle a short hop per boat on our doorstep so if the season is right you may have the honor of seeing the massive majestical animals up close.

The local markets offer the most unique and artistic hand craft imaginable, from guitars made from coke and beer tins to carved shells. (Remember you must negotiate to get a bargain)

During the colonial period the lagoon was used by both the Portuguese and the South Africans for training of ski participants for world level competitions, the reason is that the edge of the lake is very shallow and thus ideal for playing with your kids or sitting 20 odd meters in the water with a drink in the hand.

Please feel free to bring your boats, water toys, quads and off road bikes with.

For the daredevil in you we now also have on offer Flyboard?
One thing we can promise is it will make your heart rate go sky high even if you just sit and look. This now available from us.
