This “bush & beach” location offers any visitor a special feeling of remoteness of the African bush, with the advantage of an undeveloped piece of coastline. The Resort can accommodate up to 100 people.

We have wonderful weather most time of the year and this makes Calanga a fabulous holiday destination all year round. We also pay tribute to the small local community of Calanga as they are very helpful and their honest habits served to be a great advantage to make Calanga such a pleasure to visit.

We have never in the past couple of years, have had any security or safety problems and at Calanga you can leave your belongings, even your purse in the Chalet and return to find it where you left it.

Accommodation at Calanga Beach Resort Bilene

Accommodation Types

Beach Houses - These private dwellings are situated remotely and privately behind the primary dune separating the Resort from the beach. Here our guests are completely on their own with no direct neighbours or any other guests. These houses are the perfect type of accommodation for 2 families joining each other on vacation.

Calanga Lodge - The resort sleeps 14 people in total. Built in the African bush, this resort consists of a communal kitchen and an adjoining dining and entertainment area with surrounding chalets.

Casita (Chalets) - These chalets sleeps 4 to 6 people and can consists of either 1 Bedroom with 4 beds, 2 Bedrooms with 2 beds in each room or 2 Bedrooms with 2 beds in each room and 2 Beds in the entrance hall. Each chalets comes standard with 1 Bathroom and kitchen on the veranda, including a 2 plate gas stove and a small Fridge / Freezer combo.

Camping - There are two types of camping at Calanga Beach Resort. Firstly there is Normal Camping, that consists of a large camping area with several camp sites. In the large camping area all the guests share a communal washing / kitchen area, with 2 showers / toilet blocks, heated up by a “donkie”. Private Camping is where the guests have their own “spot” with their own shower and toilet.
