. The Resort is situated on the front of the White Sands "Island" and faces the ocean. You will find Log Cabins that are built on stilts with an elevated view of the bay in such a way that all the houses have a breathtaking view of the beach.

Accommodation at Duna Branca, Barra Beach

10 x Luxury Log Cabins, fully self catering, sleeps 8 in 3 bedrooms each with a fan, 2 x double bedrooms, 1 x twin room and 2 more on a sleeper couch in the living area with 2 x bathrooms per 8 sleeper. Fully self catering kitchen with fridge, freezer and 4 plate gas stove with oven. Spacious living area and an outdoor deck with stunning sea views overlooking the beach and sea. All houses are fitted with an air conditioner in the living area.

All accommodation has mosquito nets, bedding but no towels and is serviced daily.

A 4x4 or 2x4 vehicle with diff lock is required to access Duna Branca

Guests are advised to please bring own bath/beach towels and all their self-catering requirements

Water is from a borehole and safe to drink. However guests with sensitive stomachs should drink bottled water

Please be advised that guests will not reach the lodge for 2 hours either side of high tide. Please wait for tide to subside.

Accessibility:
This Lodge is accessible with a normal car at low tide through the dry lagoon bed following the signs for 'Areia Branca' Resort to the left. Duna Branca can be accessed through Areia Branca but from that entrance loose sand makes it unsuitable for normal cars. Visitors are advised to rather make use of a 4x4 Vehicle.

At Spring Hi/Some normal Hi Tides however the lodge is isolated from the road by the water rising in the lagoon and only 4x4 vehicles can drive around on the beach. During these periods assistance can be arranged with management of the Resort. (A tide takes +- 6 hours to change from high to low and visa verse) The area behind Duna Branca offers easy launches into the lagoon by boat.

Airport Transfers are available and can be arranged.

DIRECTIONS TO DUNA BRANCA
From Maputo, follow main road North (EN1) to Xai-Xai and Inhambane (approx 460kms). From Inhambane, follow sign-boards to Barra (approx 20kms). From Barra, follow signboards to Duna Branca (approx 2kms).
