The Barra Reef as well as other close by places, like Tofo, offer many beautiful spots and recreational activities. These new houses at Bibo Sands in Mozambique are situated on the lighthouse road in the Barra area and are impeccably managed and comfortably furnished. Our units are fitted with linen and bath towels and is therefore much more than self catering. Make sure you pack swimming towels, suntan lotion and mosquito repellent. Do not forget swim suits and lots of sarongs!!! Braai facilities are built for every chalet.

Accommodation at Bibo Sands, Barra Beach

These new houses at Bibo Sands in Mozambique are situated on the lighthouse road in the Barra area and are impeccably managed and comfortably furnished.

8 Sleeper
The larger house can accommodate 8 people (6 people comfortably) and comprises 2 bedrooms with bathrooms (one with king size bed and the other with 4 single beds), lounge area with two sleeper couches, bathroom, kitchen and dining area.

4 Sleeper
The smaller self-catering unit sleeps 4 people and comprises 1 bedroom with 2 sleeper couches in lounge area, bathroom, kitchen and dining room.

Amenities in both houses include; fans, housekeeping, wake-up call and noght guard.

Guests may make use of swimming pool at the lodge next door (approximately 500m from Bibo Sands). Bibo Sands does not have direct access to the beach which is a short drive or walk from the lodge.

Included in the rate is a traditional R&R (Local Rum and Raspberry Mix) as a welcoming drink. Guests staying at Bibo Sands will be pampered by friendly hosts and owners, William and Rina Syer.

4x4 or 2x4 Vehicle with Diff Lock Required.
Guests are required to bring own beach towels (bath towels provided).
No direct access to beach.
Check In after 14h00.
Check out before 10h00.

Location
Bibo Sands is situated 485 km North of Maputo and 25km from the Provincial Capital of Inhambane.

HOW TO GET HERE
From Maputo, take the EN1 North to Xai Xai. Approximately 50km after Inharrime, there is a signboard on your left 'Lindela'. Take the right fork at this point to Inhambane. In Inhambane, turn right when you reach the harbour pier on your left. Travel through the town until you reach the stop sign. Continue to your right around the circle and follow signs to Tofo and Airport (Aeroporto). At the Tofo/Barra crossroads, with Bar Babalaza on your right hand side, continue straight on a dirt road for approximately 8kms.

At the 'Big Tree' – look for signage to Manta da Barra and turn right on this sand road. Remember to let your tyres down to 1 Bar at this point. Continue on this sand road for approximately 2kms. Bibo Sands is situated next door to Manta da Barra. Your hosts will be expecting you.
