Accommodation at Barra Reef, Barra Beach

4 x self-catering stone villas. The villas have two bedrooms with 5 single beds, kitchen, shower with hot and cold water and separate toilet.

5 x self-catering timber double story A frame chalets with lovely sundeck overlooking coconut palms. These chalets have 2 bedrooms each with 2 single beds & veranda with 2 beds, kitchen and shower / toilet.

All stone villas & A frame chalets are equipped with a stove, fridge, linen, mosquito nets, basic crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils. Towels are not supplied.

4 x Casitas along the dunes overlooking a prestine beach and magnificent blue sea. Here we have 1 bedroom with 2 single beds and 2 beds on the veranda. a Kitchen , shower and toilet. Llinen and mosquito nets are supplied. Please supply your own towels.

5 x Drifters Casitas also situated along the dunes overlooking our beautiful beach and magnificent blue sea. Here we have 2 bedrooms with 2 single beds divided in the center by a bathroom with a shower/toilet. Linen and mosquito nets are supplied, towels are not. All five the Casitas share a communal kitchen with gas burners, fridge and freezer. No cutlery or crockery.

Divers Lodge:
Each room will sleep 2 pax. the unit has it's own communal kitchen and separate ablutions for ladies and gents. Linen and mosquito nets are supplied. Towels are not supplied.

DIRECTIONS
Barra Reef Resort is situated 485 km north of Maputo & 25 km from the town of Inhambane. On entering through the Komatiepoort (Resano Garcia) border gate it is under a 100km to Maputo. Entering Maputo follow the “Xai Xai” direction boards. In passing through you will encounter a very rough part of Maputo where roads and traffic rules are concern. Watch out for pedestrians crossing anywhere!

Leaving Maputo behind continue straight with the “EN1”. Follow the speed limits especially through towns and villages and wear a seatbelt! The road from Maputo to Xai Xai is in a very good condition and can be driven at night. The road from Xai Xai however should be negotiated carefully.

At “Lindela” a definite split in the road appears with no indicators. Take the right hand split as it leads to Inhambane the left goes to Maxixe.

In Inhambane follow the directions to Tofo. At Bar Babalaza the tar road turn right to Tofo but to go to Barra just continue straight on the gravel road. The road ends at a T-junction here you turn left and continue past Palm Grove Lodge, past Barra Lodge until you arrive at two big white walls indicating “Barra Reef Dive Resort” You have arrived!!
