A secluded Resort and private lodge, situated on the Southern side of Ponta do Ouro in the south of Mozambique, where the Indian Ocean laps on one side of the dunes and the lush Forests of the inland side blanket the other side, forming the diverse expanse of this natural sanctuary, close to where the South African and Mozambican borders meet.

· Baleia A Vista resort is nestled on the forested side of the dune, and has permanent luxury tents on solid timber base structures, incorporating en suite facilities, for that unforgettable holiday atmosphere.
· The Baleia A Vista Private Lodge section has, a number of privately owned wooden houses, overlooking the sea.
· The business centre of Baleia A Vista is available to those who wish to share their experiences online using the (residents only) free wifi connection as well as an amplified RSA cell network connection (allowing use of all RSA cell networks including 3G).

The tents are built on wooden decks and are set far apart to ensure privacy. All the tents are luxuriously appointed and consist of an open-plan living area, a separate bathroom and a patio. Every tent, be it a single, double or superior tent, has a refrigerator, tea and coffee making facilities and a separate bathroom with a shower, a basin and a toilet. Bedding and towels are supplied. No swimming towels are supplied in the tents, guests would need to bring their own or hire swimming towels from reception. Please note that no braai’s are allowed at the tents. A boma with a thatched roof, electricity, equipped kitchen, tables, seating and a large braai area is available for braais and cooking. Tents are serviced daily.

There is a restaurant, a bar area with a TV with DStv and private swimming pool, to compliment your experience of the resort.. The restaurant serves brunch and dinner daily, except for Mondays out of season, when the restaurant is closed. The resort has direct access to the beach.

· Only 40 minutes drive from the Kosi Bay (Farazela) border post, less than 400 km north of Durban and 700 km from Johannesburg (see the location page for more information).
· The tar road leads up to the South African border post at Kosi Bay, but from there, you will need an SUV or similarly capable vehicle for the trip over the dunes to Ponta do Ouro,
· For those who do not wish to drive “the dunes” to Ponta do Ouro there are transfers to and from the border to Baleia A Vista, and with the safe parking available at the border for only R30 per day, visitors can be accomodated irrespective of you vehicle limitations
