Our Housekeeping staff will make sure your suite has fresh bath towels and is cleaned daily. We cater to small groups as well as larger groups, just let us know what you need and we will take care of the rest.

There are plenty of parking spaces for vehicles, boats, jet skis and quad bikes with 24 -hour security. We do offer pick-ups from the Kosi Bay border crossing (minimum 2 people). At Kaya Kweru we want to make sure you have a fun and enjoyable time while visiting us and Ponta D’ouro.

Self Catering Apartments

Each Self Catering Apartment is air-conditioned and can sleep up to 6 people in 2 bedrooms with a sleeper couch in the living room. Each apartment has 2 bathrooms (one upstairs and one downstairs).

Ponta D'ouro is a popular destination and attracts many visitors from South Africa who want to scuba dive, surf or anyone who just wants to get away. The coastline from Ponta D’ouro up to Ponta Santa Maria is known for its great snorkeling, marine life and diving. You won’t have a hard time finding a dive operator or fishing charter here.

Can you imagine diving with Whale Sharks, Hammerhead’s and Dolphin’s, well you can have all of it here. While there are sharks in the ocean the good news is that there has never been a shark attack in Ponta.

Ponta D'ouro is 120km south of Maputo along a sandy road or 10km from the South African Border in Kosi Bay. You will need a 4WD when coming to Ponta from either Kosi Bay or Maputo.

Self Catering Apartment Accommodation

Upstairs each self catering apartment has 2 bedrooms upstairs with built in cupboards and air-conditioning, one bedroom has a queen (double) bed and the second bedroom has two single beds. There is a shared bathroom with shower.

Downstairs the kitchen has gas stove, convectional microwave, fridge freezer , kitchen nook, fully equipped, lounge with 2 sleeper couches and another bathroom with shower. The whole of the downstairs is also air contioned. There is a Braai area outside.

Rooms / Chalets

There are 24 rooms upmarket rooms available sleeping between 1 and 4 people.

All the rooms/chalets are extremely clean, tiled and the beds have linen and duvets. House keeping and fresh bath towels are supplied on a daily basis. All Rooms come with aircon and have a walk in closet.

2 Sleeper Single / Twin Room: air-conditioned room with two single beds and an en-suite bathroom
2 Sleeper Double Room: air-conditioned room with a double bed and an en-suite bathroom
4 Sleeper Room: 2 rooms with two single beds in each and a bathroom. Air-conditioned.
Family Room: 1 twin room (2 single beds) and 1 double room with an en-suite bathroom.
Family room has air-conditioning and a private veranda.

Please note that rooms are provided on a dinner bed and breakfast basis and no fridges are allowed in the rooms.

Facilities

Our amenities include a swimming pool, braai area, lounge area and restaurant. We also have a Sports Bar with DSTV, so for those sports enthusiasts, you won’t need to worry about missing any games. Check out the beautiful ocean view, watch the sunset or learn how to drum from our roof top patio. There are several restaurants, bars and shopping within walking distance, including the local market.

Payment information

A 50% deposit is required to hold your reservation with balance payable 10 weeks before your travel date. Bank transfer, credit and debit cards accepted for pre-bookings. Paypal available on request.
